Miki Hara, LCSW-R, RYT
Miki Hara has over 10 years of experience in providing psychotherapy. Most of her career was dedicated to provide mental health services at community mental health clinics. During those years, she has attained skills of evidence-based treatment protocols to treat trauma, depression, anxiety, self-harming behavior, and eating disorder. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and Parent Management Training. She works with individuals with all ages, family, couple and groups. The area she feels most passionate about is to work with trauma survivors. She is specialized in treating sexual abuse traumas and a birth trauma (unplanned medical intervention, emergency C-section, etc.) by using evidence-based treatment protocol for trauma and yoga. Because traumatic experiences are not in our cognition rather experiences are in our bodies, it is important to tap into ones body to work through traumas that have been stuck in their body.
