Key words: acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, fertility, women's health
Fiona Ma has been in private practice for nearly two decades. She is nationally certified as a Diplomat in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the NCCAOM, and she is licensed in New York as well as Pennsylvania. She graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City, where she earned her Master’s of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM).
Fiona’s practice focuses on women’s health issues, fertility, and pregnancy. She believes that effective care comprises the full spectrum of menstrual life, from puberty through menopause. In her experience, these areas respond exceptionally well to Chinese medicine. She enjoys working with women to tailor treatment strategies specifically for their needs: whether they are looking to pursue Chinese Medicine as a sole therapy, or in conjunction with assisted reproductive technology (IUI & IVF). Her goal is to help women take charge of their own health, to activate the body’s innate healing ability, to empower her patients to be fully participant in their health and treatment outcomes.
In addition to her focus on Women’s health issues, Fiona has experienced wonderful results when using acupuncture and herbs for digestive complaints, pain management, autoimmune diseases, stress, anxiety, and allergies from a holistic perspective. Fiona’s practice incorporates acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, gua sha and tui na.
